Disappointing for no tombstones but at least the cemetery office has the paper file of who was buried there. Usually names & dates, So at least I have that. :)Katiebirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11551950458501762481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-196447192136740054.post-62656658726194127132010-06-07T12:52:08.362-07:002010-06-07T12:52:08.362-07:00I just discovered your blog. I write stories about family history in New Hampshire, and there is a large number of "Scribners" here, descendants of Thomas Scriven and Margaret Corbett of Shropshire, England. Their son, John Scriven, came to Dover, New Hampshire about 1652. I'm enjoying your stories very much.Heather Wilkinson Rojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17704949156266722016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-196447192136740054.post-16631283000011295812010-05-30T09:49:34.340-07:002010-05-30T09:49:34.340-07:00Great advice! As several of them were quite well off when they passed, I've always been perplexed why no stone was there. Guess I need to look a bit closer!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
